                       THE LUXEMBURGO HOSPITAL

            Located in Belo Horizonte, MG, (R. Gentios, 1350- Luxemburgo) the Luxembourg Hospital is part of the Mario Penna Institute which is composed of three units -the hospital Mario Penna, the support house Beatriz Ferraz and the research center Mario Penna-. The institute was opened in 1971 and the hospital in 1986. The hospital is focused on oncology and their goal is to bring more dignity to their patients. They attend patients from SUS and agreements.
             In 2009, it provided more than 900.00 attendance . Today, the institute accounts for about 70% of new cancer cases in the metropolitan region of Belo Horizonte and 20% of the state. Currently, the administration of the institute has invested in new technologies and ponta equipment. The hospital also has a large, modern laboratory of hemodynamics, it was ranked by the Ministry of Health to High Service Center Complexity in Oncology.
